Course Offering
This review course is designed to be an intensive comprehensive review for the Oral Boards through challenging practice mock oral exams administered by Dr. Ford and his faculty. The sample exams try to cover a broad scope of the Practice of Anesthesiology as described in About the Exam. You will be critiqued based on your factual knowledge, your clarity in presentation, and in judgment.
You will receive:
• 4 Detailed Mock Orals (2 Public, 2 Private)
• 1 Diagnostic Mock – Initial exam to assess strengths and weaknesses in knowledge, presentation, and judgment
• 3 Additional Mock Orals - to enhance your strengths and overcome your weaknesses
• Continuous feedback on your progress and develop confidence
• Prescriptive home study and Practice Plan tailored to your needs
• The opportunity to observe colleagues as they take Public Mock Oral exams
• Complimentary breakfast and coffee breaks
Dr. Ford and the faculty expect that you will use this course as a SUPPLEMENT to your continued home study and practice. At the conclusion of the course you will receive a prescriptive plan outlining what you should be doing to improve your preparation. Four practice mock orals may be enough for some candidates, while others may need more. Dr. Ford and the faculty highly recommend that you go back to your training program and receive additional mock orals. Additional mocks can be purchased up front or during the course.
It is imperative that you receive the highest quality exams, so that you will be challenged while you receive constructive criticism. Of course, if you would like to take the course again, you may do so. It would be an honor and pleasure to have you participate more than once.
