Biography
Dr. Ford completed his undergraduate degree at Princeton University in 1983, and he received the MD degree from the Albert Einstein College of Medicine in New York in 1987.
Following his internship at the Montefiore Medical Center, he received training in Ambulatory Anesthesia at the Massachusetts General Hospital, before completing his residency at the Downstate Medical Center in Brooklyn, New York.
Subsequently, he completed fellowship training in Pediatric Anesthesia, and then in Pain Management. Dr. Ford is Board Certified in Anesthesiology, and since 2001 he has served as Director of Anesthesia at the St. Barnabas Medical Center.
He is a member of the American Society of Anesthesiologists and the New York State Society of Anesthesiologists.
Dr. Ford has a deep passion for preparing the next generation of Anesthesiologists. Since 1995, he has served as a coach and mentor, assisting board-eligible physicians in their preparations for the certification exam of the American Board of Anesthesiology.
More than 96% of physicians coached by Dr. Ford have succeeded in becoming Board Certified.
